New & CAA Approved for 2012. The Quik GTR is a development of the world record breaking QuikR, and features a 13sqm topless wing. The Quik GTR wing has been optimised to provide the ultimate all round handling at both high speed and low speeds to give the best of everything. Hands off trim range from 55 to 90 mph (subject to wing settings and loads). The GTR wing incorporates STARS which is a unique stability and roll system that automatically adjusts the washout rods and leading edge tension in flight for optimum roll and trim authority. The wing also has a vented undersurface for keeping the ideal shape, and to help keep the wing looking great at all times. UV treated sailcloth is standard to offer increased longevity of the sail. The wing has been load tested upto 472.5kg, making it one of the strongest flex wings in the world today, capable of taking limit loads of +4g and -2g without bending, and +6g and -3g without failure.
The trike unit is the standard Quik trike unit, available with either the Rotax 912UL (80hp) or Rotax 912ULS (100hp) engine. It is also available with the optional Explorer version which features large Tundra tyre and wheels with rear wheel braking as standard, and also option nose wheel braking for the ultimate stopping power. The Explorer option also has a slightly revised pod and larger wheel spats. The front forks and axles have also been redesigned to offer improved ground handling and increased strength.
