Due to problems with 'B' conditions paperwork we will not be able to fly the QuikR at Rufforth this Sunday. We hope to resolve this problem soon and hope you are not too greatly inconvenienced or disappointed.
Popham Postponed
Unfortunately the Popham Microlight Rally has been postponed until August due to waterlogging of the airfield.
Quik GT450 Breaks More World Records
The QuikGT450 has broken yet more world records, this time its the altitude record with two people, at 24262 ft (7395m), and whilst on their way to this height they beat the time from ground level to 6000m at 25m48s. Seat Loadings Increased
The individual seat loadings have been CAA approved at 110kg for the Quik, Quantum and all Mainair two seat trikes. See the Downloads/Manuals section for a copy of the Airworthness Approval Note and details of the requirments for upgrade.
Now With SLSA Approval
The Quik and Quik GT450 have been granted SLSA Approval in the United States of America. For more details contact P&M Aviation USA. Both aircraft will be at Sun n Fun in Florida 17th-23rd April 07.
GT450 Flies To Australia
A Quik GT450 is enroute to Australia, in an epic adventure being flown by Miles Hilton-Barber and Richard Meredith-Hardy. What makes this trip even more remarkable is that Miles has been blind for about 20 years. For more details check out the flight log at www.mileshilton-barber.com/blog/
World Record for GT450
The Quik GT450 has been awarded the world record for speed over a closed circuit of 50km without landing for a weightshift microlight flown dual. On 21st August 2006 the GT450 completed the 50km circuit at an average speed of 146.7 km/h (91.2mph) piloted by record breaking pilot Richard Meredith-Hardy with David Hoyle at Bonneville Salt Flats, UT (USA) whilst in support of the JCB Dieselmax land speed record success.
